Born in Long Beach, California on March 5th, 1953, I spent 24 wonderful years growing up in Encino, California, where I watched many great classic monster, science-fiction and fantasy films.
I attended Encino Elementary, Portola Junior High, Birmingham High, Pierce Jr. College and CSUN, eventually acquiring an Associated of Arts Degree in Dramatic Arts.
I am the proud author of five books: "Atomic Dreams and the Nuclear Nightmare: the Making of Godzilla (1954)," "Mushroom Clouds and Mushroom Men: the Fantastic Cinema of Ishiro Honda," "Devil Bat Diary," "Terror In Tinseltown," and "A Rainbow's Bold Amen."
I am seen here with a small portion of my collection of memorabilia from the first Godzilla, including original movie posters from Godzilla, King of the Monsters!" (photo by David Brand).
